Questions
Can the hidden area be recovered?
No. The saved picture contains only the covered pixels, not the originals. For small text use a high strength so nothing stays readable.
Does the saved photo keep its location and camera data?
No. The picture is drawn again and saved as a new PNG, so GPS, date and device tags are not carried over.
Why is a large photo smaller after saving?
Photos with a side over 4096 pixels are scaled down to that size when opened, so the editor stays fast. You are told when this happens.
Is my photo uploaded when I blur it?
No. Everything happens on this page and the photo stays on your device.
