How is the payment worked out in 2026?
From the average of the last three salaries: up to R$ 2,222.17, 80% of it; up to R$ 3,703.99, R$ 1,777.74 plus half of the part above R$ 2,222.17; above that, R$ 2,518.65. It is never below the R$ 1,621 minimum wage.
How many payments will I get?
From 3 to 5. On a 1st claim: 4 payments for 12 to 23 months worked and 5 for 24 or more. On a 2nd claim: 3, 4 or 5 from 9 months. From the 3rd claim on: from 6 months (Lei 7.998/1990, art. 4).
Who qualifies for seguro-desemprego?
Workers dismissed without cause who had a formal job for at least 12 of the last 18 months on a 1st claim, 9 of the last 12 on a 2nd, and each of the 6 months before dismissal after that. Resigning or a mutual agreement does not qualify.
