Will the layout match the PDF exactly?
Text, headings, tables and pictures come across as editable content, but fine spacing and columns can differ. Check the result against the PDF before you send it on.
Can it convert a scanned PDF?
A scan is only a picture of the page, so there is no text to carry over. Run it through the OCR PDF tool first, then convert the searchable result.
What do the options change?
Joining lines gives you real paragraphs, table detection builds Word tables, and removing running heads drops repeated headers, footers and page numbers.
Is my PDF sent to a server for the conversion?
No. The conversion runs on this page and the file never leaves your device.
