Which languages can it read?
English, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, German and French. Pick the language of the text before you start, because it reads one language at a time.
Why is the first run slow?
The reading data for the language you pick is downloaded once and then kept by your browser. Later runs start much faster.
How can I get a better result?
Use a straight, sharp image with dark text on a plain background. Crop away everything that is not text, and avoid shadows and slanted photos.
Is my image uploaded?
No. The text is read on this page and the image never leaves your device. Only the language data is downloaded.
