Questions
How are letters turned into binary?
Each character becomes one or more UTF-8 bytes, and each byte is shown as eight binary digits. A plain letter such as A is one byte: 01000001.
Why do accents and emoji take more than one byte?
UTF-8 uses 2 to 4 bytes for characters outside basic ASCII. The euro sign is 3 bytes and most emoji are 4.
What input can I paste to decode?
Bytes separated by spaces, commas or new lines, with or without 0x or 0b prefixes. Binary and hex also work without any separators.
