Questions

Which formulas can I type?

NdS rolls N dice with S sides, for example 2d6. Add or subtract numbers or more dice: 1d8+1d6+2. Use kh3 to keep the highest 3, kl1 to keep the lowest 1, dl1 to drop the lowest 1.

What does 2d20kh1 mean?

Roll two twenty-sided dice and keep the higher one, which is how advantage works in many tabletop games. Use kl1 for disadvantage.

Are the rolls fair?

Yes. Each die uses your device's secure random number generator, so every face is equally likely and one roll never affects the next.

How is the chance of a total worked out?

By counting every possible combination of the dice exactly, not by simulation. Two six-sided dice make a 7 in 6 of 36 ways, about 16.67%.
